當設計者依實際生活所需，著手改變傳統的形制和施作應用處，往往產生驚人的新面貌。榫接不施釘構成的高腳桌是生活與辦公的複合新形制，桌面下採用斗拱形構，錐形榫有加強作用外，也被放大成為可勾掛物品的功能，桌面直切成三分進行錯位為「山」字，面的三等分割則如同「川」字，以文字的形變表達對自然的敬意和環保意識。

It always generates transforming effects once a designer decides to put his/her hand to change traditional forms and practices for daily necessities. Applying mortise and tenon joint technique, the high table is the latest composite form for both living and work. Underneath the table top is the bracket arch. Awl-shaped tenons are not only used for support but have practical use for hanging items. The table is divided in three and misplaced to show Chinese characters “mountain (Shan in Chinese)” and “river (Chuan in Chinese)” in metamorphoses, a way to show environmental awareness and respect to nature.
