此作品全然依循「工料、工序、工法」三大步驟，是泉州派傳統榫卯技法所製作的太師椅組。其紋樣以透雕為主要工法，背靠面雕有「鳳凰朝牡丹」，加上官帽造型，象徵一品富貴，從用材到題材，謹遵體現尊貴及美好寓意。

The work follows strict standards on “materials, working processes and methods” in making, and is a Han-style armchair set of the traditional Choan-chiu style mortise and tenon joint techniques. The open-work carving pattern is made by adopting the “phoenix facing the peony” theme and the “hat of the high-ranking official” symbol to carry the meaning of prosperity.
