 A twist of concept turns ordinary objects into unexpected expression of forms. Who else can picture whipping tops – either spinning fast or lying still on the ground — to become the utensil to hold liquid. The tops decorated with lacquer and raden create the persistence of vision impression, as if goblet wine glasses are being mistaken for many spinning tops on the ground.
