Covering some six hectares, the Taiwan Craft Cultural Park serves many functions, aiding in the preservation, research, promotion, and display of crafts, as well as hands-on education. It encompasses a Craft Exhibition Hall, a Craft Design Hall, a Craft Information Hall, a Craftsmanship Hall, and a Regional Craft Hall, as well as a hotel (the Caotun Zhida Craft Service Guest House).
The NTCRI also runs three branch, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, Taipei Branch, whose focus is modern design; the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, Yingge Branch, whose focus is mixed-media creations, and the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, Miaoli Branch, whose focus is on research and development. These offices are open to the public and provide a range of educational and other services.
