The main objective of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute is to promote Taiwanese craft and culture, encourage innovative design and development of the cultural industry, and instill more cultural literacy in our people.

The policy and implementation plan this year focuses on the inherit of the craft and training of talents; development of specific local crafts and support of craft skills; organization of craft contests and local craft exhibitions; promotion of Taiwan Life & Craft Movement; construction of the craft information exchange platform and implementation of digital management; collection and analysis of craft performance data; purchase, editing, management, and use of craft collections, publications, books, etc. and creation of an environment for these purposes; promotion of international craft and culture exchange; research, development, and application of craft skills; and construction of the Taiwan Craft Park.

 In the future, we will make efforts to develop crafts with features that can reflect the culture of Taiwan, create an environment suitable for the development of craft skills, and encourage the overall development of the craft industry in Taiwan.
