Exhibition Profile

The exhibition has invited 30 internationally acknowledged enamel artists, 15 of them from Taiwan and 15 from Korea, to showcase nearly a hundred contemporary enamel works. Curators WU Ching-Chih from Taiwan and JEONG Seon-Hwa from Korea together planned and contributed to the whole exhibition.



The exhibition honors four seasons in nature, depicting the ever-changing aspects of nature. As human relation intertwines with that of nature, mankind would tend to seek different ways as well to co-live with nature during different seasons of the year. People often found themselves most at ease in natural state of being as revealed in their daily usage of expression like “it looks so natural,” and so on. Seasonal changes in nature also affect people in terms of lifestyles, sensualities and memories related to those seasons.



Enamel artists from Taiwan and Korea celebrate seasonal changes in nature with enamel traditions to shed light on a new wave of interpretations. Their enamel works fall into three categories, mainly jewelry, paintings and utensils. The exhibition is expected to bring Taiwanese audiences closer to the modern Korean enamel scene. In addition, the exhibition will bear fruits for fostering more international exchanges between Korea and Taiwan.
