Artworks by Jun-ching Tang are easily discerned by their sculpting technique. His clay teapots are hugely popular among collectors. In contrast to other potters, who begin to draw on their pieces when the clay has already begun to set, Tang draws on wet clay. This special skill makes for designs that are at one with the teapot. Tang has begun working on complex installation art in recent years. This process of moving from a creator of individual pieces to a sculptor of perceptions has been highly rewarding and turned Tang into a more well-rounded artist.
