Pablo Picasso, Manfredo Borsi and Hans Hartung were the pioneers in European Modern Art. They experienced the hardships in the times of two world wars. They loved to break stereotypical art rules to show their unique painting styles and creation spirits. Thus, they became so vivid in terms of the search for molding, order, and strength. Many world-renown museums competed to buy and collect their creation works. In addition, they also became the benchmarks followed by numerous artists in the late 1960s. However, the public usually get to know the three masters through their famous graphic painting creations. This time, National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute has especially borrowed more than 50 pieces of rarely-seen and wonderful ceramic art work collections from Sapone Family-MonteCarlo international Art, to conduct exhibitions in Taiwan. From the hands of these great masters, potter's clay is not merely a kind of material, while ceramic bottles and ceramic plates are not merely utensils─ all of them were endowed with new life, full of stories and legends. From three-dimensional perspectives, everyone can get close to and watch each poem written on every piece of clay.
Artist Mr. A-Sun Wu spent one third of his life on travels and adventures, going deep into aboriginal tribes all over the world. His paintings and sculptures are famous for their abstract manifestations based on primitive art, full of wild aesthetics and splendid strength. Ms. Paloma Chang, who is a creator of the middle age generation, also has the same kind of adventurous character. The lines on her works present the art effect from tangibility converted to be intangibility, and then from intangibility to tangibility; every moment seems to result in immense changes. She often wins European awards and gets the invitations to hold her personal exhibitions. Through her master hands, her works show the boundless lines, enthusiastic profiles, and particular rhythms with illusory transformation in the world of ceramic art. All of these are definitely great feasts for you to enjoy.
