「香港從2019年3月15日的反對《逃犯條例修訂草案》運動(Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement)開始,運動支持者以靜坐、集會、遊行示威、吶喊口號、唱歌、罷工罷課和設置連儂牆等方式,表達對政府政策的不滿與憤怒。然而香港政府傲慢強硬的態度、違背法治、人權的做法,激發出更多市民參與自發性、無組織且多元的抗爭運動,還發展出『be water』的社會運動哲學持續抗爭至今。其中又因為警察執法過程有濫權、過度使用武力和無差別攻擊市民的行為,把和平的抗爭運動演變成激烈的警民衝突。自抗爭運動以來,抗爭者失蹤是常態,光天化日跳樓自殺和海邊出現無名浮屍的事件也頻傳;但警方皆以「死因無可疑」(no suspicious)回應結案。種種違反常理的事件突顯了抗爭者上街會面臨不同的『被死亡』威脅。《不無可疑》此系列作品,嘗試以繪畫、電腦刺繡和手工刺繡複合的創作形式,記錄香港社會運動期間所發生各種不合邏輯且非常可疑的死亡事件。黃色是代表支持社會運動和參與抗爭的『黃絲』朋友們。我分別以女性抗爭者、無人認領的死者與被催淚彈波及致死的鳥類為主題;以同理的態度想像飽受威脅面臨死亡的處境。我希望能透過作品表達對犧牲的『手足』們的敬意,同時對獨裁黑幫政權提出控訴。」The Possible Suspicious Circumstances

“Since March 15, 2019, the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement takes place in Hong Kong. Supporters express their dissatisfaction and anger towards government policies with means of sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations, chanting slogans, singing, holding strikes and setting up Lennon Wall.
However, the Hong Kong government’s arrogant and tough stance, its violations of the rule of law and human rights have inspired more citizens to participate in spontaneous, unorganized and diverse demonstrations. In the protest, it even develops the “be water” philosophy, which continues its way till now.
In addition, there is recurring happenings about the abuse of power, excessive use of force, and indiscriminate attacks on citizens concerning the police’s law enforcement, which turned the peaceful protest into intense police-civilian conflict.
The disappearance of protesters has become the new norm, since the beginning of the protest. Suicides committed by jumping from buildings in broad daylight and unknown floating corpses found on the beaches are also frequent. The police always responded with ‘no suspicious circumstances’ to close the case. The various unreasonable incidents highlight different life threats that protesters might face when going down the streets.
The ‘Possible Suspicious Circumstances’ series attempts to record various unreasonable and very suspicious deaths that occurred during the civic movement in Hong Kong through a composite media of painting, computerized embroidery and hand embroidery.
The color yellow represents the ‘yellow silk’ friends who support social movements and participate in demonstrations. I center the female protesters, the unclaimed dead bodies, and the birds that were killed by tear gas as the main themes. I wish people to stay sympathetic in imagining the situation under death threats. I hope that through my work, I can express my respect for the sacrificed ‘brothers’ and at the same time file complaints against the dictatorship.”
