In order to solve the problems of the total population reduction, the ageing and the population over-concentration of the metropolis, and the imbalance between urban and rural development, the government actively studies the countermeasures and plans to implement the implementation of the three major governance axes to mitigate the impact. Among them, the "balanced Taiwan" aspect is based on local characteristics and the development of local industries. It is hoped that the population will return, the youth will return to their hometowns, and they will actively promote the local creation policy. At the same time, the Executive Yuan also declared that 2019 will be the first year of Taiwan’s local creation. The neighboring Japan has accumulated rich experience for implementing the local creation policy for many years, which is worthy of our reference.
The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute echoed the policy of the Executive Yuan to declare 2019 as the first year of local creation in Taiwan. The lacquer art culture has a deep foundation in Japan and is now a featured product in many parts of Japan. The lacquer art of Southeast Asian countries is different from Taiwan and Japan because of the brewing of different cultures. Therefore, the "2019 Asia-Pacific lacquer X local creation forum" series with "paint" as the core context is planned.
This forum series invites Professor Matsushima Sakurako from Japan Utsunomiya University to co-ordinate. Professor Matsushima Sakurako invited experts and scholars from Japan and Southeast Asia to gather together with experts, scholars, community leaders and workers from all walks of life in Taiwan through the 2019 Asia Pacific Lacquer X Local Creation Forum. The purpose of this event is to create a discussion of international experience and face-to-face communication from the "lacquer" perspective, providing Taiwan with a reference for developing local flips and creations.
During the "2019 Asia-Pacific Lacquer × Local Creation Forum", the "Paintings and Demonstration Performance Symposium" is also planned to invite Japanese Kagawa lacquer artist Nakagami to conduct demonstration teaching of Japanese lacquer (brooch), as well as other Japanese lacquer artists and The Southeast Asian lacquer artist conducted a demonstration of lacquer art demonstrations through lacquer art descriptions and techniques. At the same time, there is a four-day lacquer art work camp jointly guided by Matsushima Sakurako and Murakami Shingo.
